According to the Kharkiv Regional Centre for Public Health of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, 245 cases of hepatitis A were laboratory confirmed in Vinnytsia region between 17 October and 6 November. 182 people were admitted to hospitals: 128 (including 24 children) have been treated and discharged, while 54 patients remain in medical facilities. According to the Vinnytsia Regional Centre for Public Health, the outbreak is not localised and the cause of the outbreak has not been established.

The disease is gradually spreading throughout Ukraine. As of 6 November, cases of hepatitis A were reported in the following regions:

Ternopil (1 case),
Zakarpattia (11 cases),
Dnipropetrovska (3 cases).
Also, in October, 12 cases of hepatitis A were reported in Ivano-Frankivsk region.

      Vaccination and good hygiene remain the most effective ways to prevent the disease. To avoid the spread of the virus, both the sick and the healthy need to wash their hands thoroughly, especially after using the toilet and before eating. Do not buy products at spontaneous markets. If it is food without individual packaging, vegetables or fruits, be sure to wash them and preferably "pour" them with boiling water before eating. Any non-bottled water should be boiled before drinking. Do not consume dairy products purchased at markets without prior heat treatment. Buy fast food only in designated places, wash hands and treat them with antiseptic before eating street food.
