Autodermoplasty or skin grafting is one of the modern methods of eliminating skin defects formed after mechanical, thermal, and chemical injuries, trophic ulcers, and after surgery, as the final stage in the treatment of large wounds or ulcers. During the operation, a flap of healthy skin is transplanted onto a previously prepared wound. After the graft takes root, the integrity of the skin is restored.
The advantage of the method
The likelihood of skin flap rejection is minimized. The immune system does not react to its own tissues as foreign, which significantly accelerates engraftment and healing.
The ability to restore damaged areas up to 1/5 of the total skin area.
A shorter recovery period compared to plastic surgery of ulcers or wounds performed using donor material.
Our doctors use autodermoplasty to reconstruct the damaged tissue area in cases where regeneration is extremely slow.
